Some might call me the ‘party lady’; or if they were feeling more derogatory, the ‘cleaning party lady’, complete with upturned nose and plummy accent.
To be honest, I called myself that at the beginning too. I was really surprised to find myself wanting the role of party lady so very much, and wondered why.
It took me three months to figure it out.
By being the cleaning party lady, also known as a Norwex Independent Sales Consultant, I’m making an incredible difference to the health of our community. I’m radically reducing harmful chemicals in our environment, one household at a time, while also helping them save money and time.
I’m earning an income while staying true to my six most important values, which are trust, integrity, respect, freedom, gratitude and enthusiasm. Three of these values are, perhaps not surprisingly, identical to Norwex’s.
This income, along with that of my highly fulfilling health coaching business, allows me the flexibility to spend time with our daughters after school, volunteer at events, travel during school holidays, and support my healing journey with an autoimmune condition.
Having recently been promoted to Team Leader with Norwex, I feel immensely privileged to now also support other motivated souls step into their own ‘party lady’ opportunity.
A cleaning party is actually lots of fun. A demo or two so you can see how easy and effective the products are to use, perhaps a game, and 30 minutes or so chatting about how to solve your cleaning woes. A chance to get together with your friends, share a cuppa, learn something new, and choose to buy any items you love, with no pressure to buy if you don’t!
Something I hear time and again is ‘I thought I was doing {friend’s name} a favour by coming along today, turns out she’s done me the favour by inviting me!’
However, not everyone likes hosting a party in their home, so I also offer:
- Online shopping at kyliebevan.norwexbiz.com.au
- Catalogue orders, with the bonus that if you also collect orders from friends or family, you receive host gifts
- One-on-one sessions, in person or via Skype
- Fundraisers
- Facebook parties, with free prizes and host gifts
- Workplace, church hall or café parties
- Training if you’re keen to Norwex your home by joining
So, I’ve decided being ‘just a party lady’ is a bit like being ‘just a mum’.
Wonderfully rewarding once you get over the feeling that perhaps you could be, in some way, more.
When you realise you are enough already!
Personally, I’m very happy and proud to be a cleaning party lady, and a mum. No justs about it!
Are you just doing or being something? Do tell me, if you really think about it, might that something actually be quite wonderful?
