What do you do, what ‘hats do you wear’, how do you spend your time, paid and unpaid?

What have you gained by relocating?
My dream job in radio!
What have been some of the challenges?
The heat up here! It’s 37 degrees today but it’s the humidity. WOW
Relocation costs were huge.
What have you learned, about yourself and about others?
It’s very difficult to “do glam” in this heat! It melts off!
Darwin is very friendly and relaxed, they don’t take themselves too seriously, which is refreshing.
What would you have missed out on, had you stayed in one place?
Nothing, I love adventure, and I have many many stories, friends and memories as a result.
Did your physical and emotional health improve or decline after relocating?
The heat has been good in one sense, I seem to be eating much healthier – melons, yoghurt, lots more water.
What did you do to feel as healthy, capable and happy as possible while relocating?
Take each day at a time, don’t try to do too much in one hit!
When and if you experience self-doubt, fear or stress, how do you embrace these feelings and move on?
I just try to break it down and face it head on!
What would you say to others contemplating a relocation?
Do it, you only live once and it’s great to experience as much of this world as possible, and given the opportunity to live somewhere new is the best way to truly experience it.
What would you say to yourself if you were contemplating another relocation?
Ha, It will happen, no idea where and when, but that’s exciting!
What’s next for you?
Settle into Darwin and meet the locals.
Thank you Jac!
